LOGDRAFT is a multi-user program, meaning that it will allow multiple users to access the same project file simultaneously. Users with networks are encouraged to install the program on a network drive so that the settings maintained by the package in its program directory will be shared by anyone accessing the software. Here are some tips that may be of assistance when planning a network installation:
- Please check the program's License Agreement for information on network installation restrictions. In particular, use of a Wide Area Network (WAN) to access the software from an office of your company other than the one listed on your license agreement is not permitted.
- The program will allow simultaneous access by multiple users to the same project file; however, it won't allow more than one user to be entering data for any given boring within that project. If a project file is to be worked on from more than one computer, be sure to create the project in a shared directory.
- By default, the program stores its report and data entry form templates in the hard disk subdirectory where it's installed; however, Administrators may opt to designate a shared network subdirectory for storing these files so that the program's network installation directory may be made read-only.
GEOSYSTEM technical support cannot answer questions concerning network printing or network access -- please consult with a network specialist. The software is not warranted to work with any particular network installation.
